Tape / CD Switch
A Simple Solution to a Common Problem
- Interfaces a tape record/playback deck to a monaural sound board as typically found in
church applications.
- Contains a built-in resistive stereo to monaural combiner circuit.
- Designed for a line-level (10K) unbalanced interface.
- Positively prevents the creation of a feedback loop through the recorder by eliminating
the possibility for record and playback signal paths to be opened simultaneously.
- Eliminates the necessity for using separate record and playback decks.
- Increases versatility by permitting multiple decks (when available) to be used for both
record and playback.
- Permits the selection of only the left or only the right channel for use with
split-track tapes where the music is on one channel and the vocals are on the other
channel.
- Permits the selection of left plus right where both channels of a stereo tape are
combined into a single monaural signal.
- The left plus right position can be used to combine music and vocals on a split-track
tape for practice sessions.
- The record position disables both playback channels and routes the mixer output to both
left and right record inputs in order to produce a monaural recording.
